It's Thunder Road revisited
the radio plays
we know for whom Roy Orbison sings
and where there's thunder,
there's lightning
But spells break.
Pretend that it's forever dark.
It came and went
illuminating.
It thrust me in and out
of yellow blue grey black white
white hot.
stone cold. white hot.
Take shelter in a gazebo, by a school
with red brick buildings.
But I'll be the last to find the famed four leaf clover,
The storms always pass when we want them to stay.
And the clouds roll on from this town full of losers,
pulling out of here to win.
